Providing grounding, support, and safety to explore and navigate the transitions of adulthood.
About Rooted Transitions
When we think about growing and developing as people, we often think about children and adolescents, perhaps even young adults. But the truth is we are growing, developing, and changing throughout our lives. My goal as a therapist is to help people deal with the changes and challenges that come with adulthood. These might include:
Getting married or committing to long-term partnership
Deciding when, whether, and how to have children, including decisions and support about pregnancy termination
Navigating fertility challenges and pregnancy loss
Making career decisions and changes
Coping with grief and loss
Exploring changes in relationships that come with growth and development
Managing relationships with aging parents or being part of “the sandwich generation”
I also have expertise in supporting adults struggling with:
Perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADS) including peripartum and postpartum depression and anxiety
Anxiety
Depression
Childhood or recent trauma, including complex trauma
Adult diagnoses of ADHD, Autism, and other neurodivergences
Disordered eating

Founder, Licensed Psychologist
Meet Dr. Neill
As a psychologist, I believe in creating a warm, safe space for individuals to share their stories and find meaning in their experiences. I aim to empower clients to embrace their authentic selves and navigate life's complexities with resilience and self-compassion.
My therapeutic style has been described as warm, compassionate, and honest. Where appropriate, I incorporate humor into my work, recognizing the seriousness of my client's experiences but not taking myself too seriously.
I was trained as a family systems and psychodynamic therapist, with a strong focus on understanding how our relationships have contributed and continue to contribute to how we show up in the world. Drawing from evidence-based approaches such as acceptance and commitment therapy, feminist therapy, and self-compassion, I tailor therapy to best meet the individual needs of my clients.
I recognize the contributions that marginalization and discrimination have on mental health and recognize the role that power and privilege play both inside and outside of the therapy room and I strive to honor the diverse identities of my clients in our work together.
I proudly identify as progressive and want my clients to know that I am supportive of their right to choose, right to love, and right to build their family as they see fit. I have extensive experience in supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and providing affirming therapy that honors diverse gender, romantic, and sexual identities and expressions.
